Ijtihad is the process practiced by a Muslim jurisprudent to discover secondary divine legislation (laws) regarding the organizing of human life and his diverse relations or endeavoring to discover and deduce the Islamic Laws and regulations from their sources like the laws concerning worship, possession, property, judiciary, politics and family affairs … etc.
This article discussed about the definition, necessity, areas, legal value, proofs, requirements and conditions of Ijtihad and gave a satisfactory answer to why the Mujtahids differ at times.
